CONNECTED WITH SOME REAL OPPORTUNITIES. PROVIDING A COMPREHENSIVE SUITE OF CAREER BUILDING RESOURCES, THE OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS AND MAJOR TALENT ARE WORKING TO GIVE VETERANS THE TOOLS THEY NEED TO FURTHER THEIR CAREERS. IT’S A STEP THAT WE NEEDED TO TAKE BECAUSE OF THE TRANSITIONING OF A CAREER SERVICE MEMBER, AND AS THEY’RE TRANSITIONING OUT OF THE SERVICE, WE WANT TO PROVIDE THEM THE BEST AVAILABLE THAT THERE HAS. MAJOR TALENT SPECIALIZES IN TAILORED CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. THERE ARE FOUR KEY POINTS THEY FOCUS ON. FIRST, CAREER TRANSITION. THAT’S TRANSLATING THEIR MILITARY JOB TO A CIVILIAN JOB. SECOND, RESUME BUILDING. THIRD, INTERVIEWING. AND FINALLY, JOB PLACEMENT. THEY ARE CONNECTED WITH A MULTITUDE OF COMPANIES. AND WHAT WE CAN DO IS TAKE THAT SKILL BASED RESUME AND DO A SEARCH AND SAY, OKAY, THIS COMPANY HERE IS LOOKING FOR THIS TYPE OF SERVICE. RIGHT NOW THE VA IS HIRING, LOOKING TO FILL POSITIONS IN THEIR CARE CENTERS. SO YOU’RE GOING TO BE GETTING THE 12 HOUR SHIFTS, WHICH GIVES YOU AUTOMATIC OVERTIME EVERY EVERY WEEK. AND THEN YOU ALSO GET A BUNCH OF DAYS OFF BACK TO BACK. THROUGH THIS PARTNERSHIP, OFFICIALS HOPE TO HELP VETERANS NAVIGATE A COMPETITIVE JOB MARKET. I THINK IT COMES DOWN TO THE FACT THAT IT’S TRANSLATING AND TRANSFERRING THOSE SKILLS TO THE CIVILIAN LIFE. YOU CAN FIND MORE INFORMATION TO ACCESS THESE RESOURCES ON THE AS SEEN ON SECTIO
