Three Alliance Bank Employees Inducted Into Minnesota Bankers Association Pioneer Club

Honoring 50 Years in the Banking Industry

ST. PAUL, Minn., June 21, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alliance Bank, a privately owned community bank with over $590 million in assets, announced three employees were recently inducted into the Minnesota Bankers Association Pioneer Club during its Annual Summit, held in Brainerd, MN. John Wisniewski, Alliance Bank board member, Rosy Melzer, branch assistant, and Roger Schultz, retired, were honored for being in the banking industry for 50 years or more.

John Wisniewski worked with the Reim family at Commercial State Bank as a senior vice president of commercial lending before serving as president of Alliance Bank in New Ulm. John currently serves as an Alliance Bank board member.

John has served in various leadership roles with the Minnesota Bankers Association including Past Director, former Chairman of the Insurance Committee and former member of the Services Advisory Board. John has dedicated countless hours as a leader in the New Ulm community and has served on boards for many organizations throughout his career.

Rosy Melzer began her career as a teller and bookkeeper at the State Bank of Hanska. Rosy now serves as the branch assistant at the Alliance Bank Hanska location. Rosy has seen many changes in the way things are done from when she started. In the beginning, there was just one cash drawer all tellers worked out of and all processing was done by hand. She also saw changes as computers were introduced into the branches. One thing has remained the same though – Rosy has worked in the same building for over 50 years.

Roger Schultz began his banking career as a teller with Farmers & Merchant's Bank and worked his way up to senior vice president - lending at Alliance Bank in New Ulm prior to his retirement.

Over his banking career he was an active member of the New Ulm Economic Development Corporation, the Economic Development Authority, past board member and president of the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce, as well as Brown County Fair Board, Farm-City Hub Club, New Ulm Jaycees, and New Ulm Rotary.

“Alliance Bank has many employees that have worked with us for thirty or more years, providing our customers with the depth and breadth of knowledge and personalized service that comes from that kind of dedication and experience,” stated V. Philip Reim, CEO. “We are pleased that John, Rosy and Roger received this recognition for their lifelong commitment to the banking industry and their contributions to Alliance Bank and the community,” he added.
